PERSONAL TRAINER MANUAL

It has been a while since I began gym workout. At first, I can only push 0.6 of my body weight in bench press, but now my 1RM[1] comes to 77Kg, that exceeded my body weight! 🎉

However, my knowledge of workout is still poor. I know I can try to find some professional guys to teach me, but it would be expensive and many personal trainers don’t have enough knowledge, they are more of a seller than a trainer. I’ve seen many trainers have bad strength or abuse drugs like steroids, and I’m in for the natural bodybuilding. Briefly, I need to read some books, and PERSONAL TRAINER MANUAL is a great choice.

Another major theme in today’s health and fitness industry is a transition away from a prescriptive approach to exercise programming to a coaching-based approach that emphasizes behavioral change and long-term adherence. What the industry has collectively learned over the years is that, while knowledge of exercise science is vitally important, an ability to inspire prospective and current clients to undergo true lifestyle change is absolutely essential.

It’s a good point here although I wants to learn some prescriptive approaches at first.

I add the book to my reading routine now, 10 pages per day. There are many medical terms here and the vocabulary is pretty hard, I even don’t know many terms in my mother tongue.
